Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier & Farmer Network Management:
● Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, vendors, and farmer groups for commodity procurement.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), and suppliers to ensure a steady supply of quality produce.
● Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, ensuring fair trade practices and cost optimization.
● Conduct periodic supplier audits to assess compliance with quality, sustainability, and regulatory standards.
2. Commodity Sourcing & Procurement Operations:
● Source agricultural commodities such as Red gram, Soyabean, Bengal gram, turmeric, or other required crops based on business needs.
● Coordinate with field teams to track crop cycles, yield forecasts, and procurement planning.
● Ensure timely procurement of raw materials to align with processing schedules and market demand.
● Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, invoices, and compliance documents.
3. Cost & Budget Optimization:
● Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to make informed procurement decisions.
● Work on cost reduction strategies by identifying alternative sourcing options and optimizing transportation.
● Track procurement expenditures and suggest cost-saving initiatives.
4. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination:
● Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage inventory, storage, and transportation.
● Plan logistics to ensure smooth and cost-effective movement of goods from farms to processing units or buyers.
● Monitor stock levels to prevent wastage or shortages.
5. Data Management & Reporting
● Maintain supplier databases, procurement reports, and transaction records for transparency.
● Track and report key procurement metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and order fulfillment rates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
● 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
● Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
● Knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management.
